Description
Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER) in collaboration with the Integrated Planning and Cooperation Unit for Electrification (UIPCE), part of the National Directorate of Energy (DNE), are organizing the "First Bi-Annual Off-Grid Energy Forum" to promote sustainable energy solutions in Mozambique.

The Bi-Annual Off-Grid Energy Forum will take place on February 26 & 27, 2024, in Maputo, and will bring together up to 90 participants in person that will include the private sector, financiers, energy programs and public entities.

During the forum, the critical challenges and opportunities in Mini-Grids, Solar Home Systems, Climate and Clean Cooking Solutions will be addressed, with transversal topics on Gender Inclusion and Fiscal incentives.

The first day will be reserved for plenary discussions detailing progress, challenges and future plans in electrification.

For the second day of the event, participants will be divided into three round tables for in-depth discussions on the topics of Mini-Grids, Solar Home Systems and Clean Cooking Solutions.
