|CSO overview=The philosophy of SELCO Foundation is that decentralized renewable energy solutions need to be implemented holistically by combining technology, finance and social aspects to demonstrate the link between environmental sustainability and poverty alleviation. Interventions of the organization leads to improved quality of life and increased incomes for the poor: with the underlying aim to create processes that can be replicated around the world for 3 billion poor people.
|CSO key=SELCO Foundation is focused on building enabling conditions- the ecosystem- to increase the accessibility, affordability and sustainability of decentralized renewable energy sector for the poor. The Foundation adopted a grassroots approach to create an independent, open source innovation lab rooted in local partnerships focused on linkages between sustainable energy and poverty alleviation. We work across the verticals of health, housing, education and livelihoods with cross cutting themes of skill development, financial inclusion, policy and technology development.
