|Job description=Solar Cookers International is seeking a Development Manager or Development Director who appreciates the exciting role philanthropy plays in a well-lived life and enjoys developing relationships with people to help make their compassionate goals a reality. The successful candidate will work with existing staff to enhance past efforts and launch new endeavors to build on fundraising success for achieving mission goals.

A candidate who has high energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position fundraising discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels will be a good fit for the organizational culture. Proven success in reaching, often exceeding, fundraising goals is a must.

The level of the position hired (Manager or Director) will be determined by the successful candidate’s experience level and skills. If hired as the Development Manager, there is the opportunity to grow into a Director role as more experience is gained and resources allow. If a candidate has qualifying experience and skills, they could be hired immediately as a Director. There would be more responsibility for strategy, analysis, ownership, and income growth with a Director position.
