The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) is the global association for the decentralised renewable energy industry, uniting more than 185 members and catalysing private sector-driven markets for sustainable electricity services, creating jobs and powering equitable green economies. The focus regions of ARE are Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America &amp;amp; the Caribbean.&lt;br /&gt;

Job description&lt;br /&gt;
ARE is recruiting an ‘Events &amp;amp; Marketing Assistant’, reporting to the Communications &amp;amp; Marketing Officer.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
About the role&lt;br /&gt;
Support with ARE event and webinar implementation;&lt;br /&gt;
Weekly research on market intelligence and dissemination through our communications tools;&lt;br /&gt;
Support with the ARE Newsletter;&lt;br /&gt;
Keeping the ARE website updated;&lt;br /&gt;
Supporting the management of social media channels and community management (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook) and growing the ARE community;&lt;br /&gt;
Creating visuals for ARE events and campaigns;&lt;br /&gt;
Administrative tasks on an ad-hoc basis (i.e. onboarding of new members, management of ARE inbox, CRM support).&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
About you&lt;br /&gt;
Fluent in written and spoken English (native speaker or equivalent);&lt;br /&gt;
Excellent writing, editing and reviewing skills;&lt;br /&gt;
Ability to provide clear and concise deliverables under time pressure;&lt;br /&gt;
Rigorous attention to detail and ability to take ownership of activities and projects;&lt;br /&gt;
Proactive mindset and can-do attitude;&lt;br /&gt;
Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and knowledge of CMS (Drupal) is an advantage;&lt;br /&gt;
Strong graphic design skills (Canva/Photoshop) are desirable;&lt;br /&gt;
Ability to think ‘out of the box’;&lt;br /&gt;
University degree in event management, marketing, communications, sustainability or other relevant studies or equivalent experience;&lt;br /&gt;
Right to live and work in Belgium;&lt;br /&gt;
Knowledge of other languages (especially French) is an asset;&lt;br /&gt;
Previous work experience in another association is an asset.&lt;br /&gt;
