Energypedia is a wiki-based platform for collaborative knowledge exchange on renewable energy and energy access in developing countries. Recognizing that development in the 21st century requires that all actors have access to information, energypedia is working to leverage Web 2.0 technologies in order to remove knowledge barriers and expand the diffusion of information addressing the topics climate change, renewable energy and sustainable energy access for all. Through the platform we strive to create the right environment and provide the right tools for stakeholders engaged in the energy sector to collaborate, create and share knowledge and practical experience. On energypedia.info any registered user can easily create, modify and share content. The platform currently includes 11,664 free articles, contributed by the growing community of 12,467 registered users made up of energy practitioners, experts, academics and other interested stakeholders.
