- Water and Energy for Food
The goal of the Gold Standard Program of Activities (PoA) is to provide end-users with energyefficient cooking technologies and safewatersystems (WPS) to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from burning non-renewable wood biomass and/or coal for cooking and treating water to make it safe for consumption. Thus, the PoA is a project of an initiative to create, register, and market carbon credits to finance the wider dissemination of improved cooking stoves and water purification systems supporting the intended goals of reduced fuel consumption, improved health, reduced deforestation, and reduced GHG emissions in Mozambique. We, therefore, invite stakeholders, member of civil society, private sector, and others to a local stakeholder consultation(#LSC) meeting which will take place on 28th February 2022, at Pensão Martins, Av. 24 de Julho nº1098, Maputo, Mozambique. The agenda of the LSC is to discuss and receive feedback on the project development for dissemination of improvedcookstoves and energy/fuel saving water purification systems.
