Green industries are resource and energy efficient, low-carbon and low waste, non-polluting and safe for workers, communities, climate and the environment, and they produce products that are responsibly managed throughout the entire lifecycle. Greening industry involves the continuous improvement of the resource efficiency and environmental performance of existing industries, as well as the creation of new green industries, for example, remanufacturing, organic agriculture, and ecotourism.
What policies can drive the greening of industry? What sectors are most likely to be impacted by green industrial policies?
