Access to modern forms of energy has been proposed to be included under the Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, under the UN-Initiative SE4All, universal energy access by 2030 is one of the three priorities. For a transparent tracking of the achievements under these globally set goals, a stringent, plausible and practical monitoring system is needed to provide the public with credible and verifiable data.

The following publication&nbsp;describes the methodologies for monitoring, &nbsp;in the case of on-grid projects. The text also deals with the question, how to attribute access outcomes to different donors if several donors are involved in the same area. &nbsp;



Comments and suggestions for the applicability of the proposed methodologies are highly welcome.
