|OD Description=The Kenya Off-Grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP) is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for Round 2 of the KOSAP Results Based Financing (RBF) Facility for Solar Service Providers.

This round will make a total of KES 450 million available in the form of incentives for solar service providers to sell solar systems in the 14 counties covered under KOSAP. The application deadline for this 2nd round is November 06, 2020 (5pm EAT).

Driven by the imperative to provide equal opportunities across the entire Kenyan territory as key to achieving Kenya’s Vision 2030, and the national target of achieving universal access to electricity by 2022, the Government of Kenya (GoK) seeks to close the access gap by providing electricity services to remote, low density, and traditionally underserved areas of the country. The GoK intends to use US$150 million of financing from the World Bank to deliver KOSAP for Underserved Counties.
