Eligibility/Description
Have you or your organization always wanted to address a particular problem on gender and energy access and/or clean cooking, and do you have a great idea for an innovation?

Submit your Expression of Interest to participate in the newly launched Gender and Energy Innovation Facility. Successful candidates get to participate in an online-three-days-bootcamp to generate and refine ideas, have the chance to get EUR 25,000 in funding to run pilots for 3-9 months, and potentially an additional EUR 10,000 to scale up.

Hivos, ENERGIA, Energising Development (EnDev) and Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) established The Gender and Energy Innovation Facility (GEIF) with the objective to stimulate innovations at the gender and energy access nexus, including on clean and modern cooking. The Facility is especially looking for innovations on: 1) gender and energy entrepreneurship and employment, 2) gender and energy in the care economy, and 3) gender in energy policy and practice.

Eligible applicants such as entrepreneurs, companies, social enterprises, microfinance institutions, NGOs, consultants, research centers, academy, and consortiums can submit an Expression of Interest. The Facility will then review your application. If you are chosen, you will receive an invitation for the bootcamp and further information. This bootcamp will most likely be held virtually, mid-January 2021.

Please submit your Expression of Interest by Monday, 21 December 2020 at 9:00 am EAT.
