Eligibility/Description
Along with Benin and Madagascar the Republic of Togo is one of the three sub-Saharan countries taking part in the special initiative “Energy Self-Sufficient Villages” which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The initiative seeks to electrify villages with solar hybrid mini-grids and maximize the economic, productive and social benefits of a decentralized power supply.

The implementation in Togo is handled by the Togolese Agency for Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy (AT2ER) on behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Ministère délégué auprès du président de la République chargé de l'Énergie et des Mines).

In the framework of this initiative the AT2ER invites eligible candidates through the present tender notice, to submit their offers for the cofinancing, construction, exploitation and maintenance of two solar hybrid mini-grids off-the-grid and the commercialization of electrical energy in the localities of: Kamina (plateau region) and Afo Sala (central region).
