Abstract
This document is based on the climate change technology transfer (CCT) studies (also called environmentally sound technologies, ESTs) related to energy efficiency and renewable energy that were led by Fundación Bariloche, as part of the Climate Change Technology Transfer Mechanisms and Networks in Latin America and the Caribbean project, implemented by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The document provides an overview of the state of the art of CCTs, their potential, the main barriers to their implementation and lessons learned.
