Title
The trade-off between gender, energy and climate change in Africa: the case of Niger Republic

Abstract
The study recommends a more significant continental effort toward gender

integration in energy planning processes. It also justifies the pursuance of alternative livelihood activities and an adjustment of policy frameworks towards universal energy access by 2030, as a means to breaking the vicious circle of limited income, increased vulnerability and narrowed opportunities that thwart gender equality and mainstreaming efforts in the

country and across Africa
