|| The Climate Change research group is looking for two highly skilled individuals to develop and lead a research and outreach portfolio in at least one of these fields:
1- Innovation in climate finance, contributing to research themes on 'money where it matters', building the mechanisms and capabilities to access the Green Climate Fund, mobilising private finance for climate resilient and low emission enterprises
2- Innovation in mechanisms tackling issues at the climate, development and humanitarian interface, such as risk finance in social protection system
3- Approaches to build southern institutional climate capabilities and support to a learning platform
4- Gender, social justice and climate change.
The two roles will sit across two teams:
a) The strengthening partnerships team works to facilitate and promote local to global knowledge exchange to catalyse effective action on climate change, as well as strengthening the capacity of southern partners to engage in these debates. It also provides technical inputs across the group, collaborating with colleagues in all teams and facilitating cross-group learningThe
b) The public policy team works with public sector actors (governments, bilateral and multilateral partners and development finance institutions), to design and test innovative solutions for public and private investment in equitable and climate resilient development. This includes the design and implementation of politically astute policy, institutional and financial frameworks that enable national and local level actors (governments, enterprises and households) to scale-up investment in climate resilient initiatives.
