Description
UpEnergy Group Mozambique is organizing a stakeholder consultation meeting to collect feedback on UpEnergy project - Social and Climate Impact Program. UpEnergy Group is the Coordinating/Managing entity for GS ID 10963, UpEnergy - Social and Climate Impact Program. The PoA (and its VPAs 1 to 14) is registered with the Gold Standard for the Global Goals (GS4GG) to certify the PoA's contribution to the achievement of various SDGs.
The goal of the Gold Standard Program of Activities (PoA) is to provide end-users with energyefficient cooking technologies and safewatersystems (WPS) to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from burning non-renewable wood biomass and/or coal for cooking and treating water to make it safe for consumption. Thus, the PoA is a project of an initiative to create, register, and market carbon credits to finance the wider dissemination of improved cooking stoves and water purification systems supporting the intended goals of reduced fuel consumption, improved health, reduced deforestation, and reduced GHG emissions in Mozambique.
We, therefore, invite stakeholders, member of civil society, private sector, and others to a local stakeholder consultation(#LSC) meeting which will take place on 28th February 2022, at Pensão Martins, Av. 24 de Julho nº1098, Maputo, Mozambique. The agenda of the LSC is to discuss and receive feedback on the project development for dissemination of improvedcookstoves and energy/fuel saving water purification systems.
