Description
Good consumer protection is a key element of any successful off-grid solar (OGS) business, particularly so if serving displaced communities. GOGLA, together with IOM, is hosting a webinar around Consumer Protection for Energy Access in Displacement Settings’. This webinar will share insights from IOM Mozambique’s energy access project including a discussion of the results of a campaign to inform consumers of their rights when purchasing an OGS product, and findings from a consumer-protection focused survey of solar home system users. We’ll also hear from an expert panel discussing how the GOGLA Consumer Protection Code can support standards for energy access in displacement settings, and how organisations can embed the Consumer Protection Principles across their operations.
