Description
|
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Forum will now be held virtually on the 26th of March 2020.
This Forum will gather experts directly involved in either using or developing long-term energy scenarios to support policymaking and planning for the clean energy transition. Representatives from governments, technical institutions, academia, industry and the private sector will be invited to exchange practical experience and gather good practices from around the world.
It will be built on the rich discussions that have been held under the umbrella of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Campaign on Long-term Scenarios for the Energy Transition (LTES Campaign) since its inception in June 2018, and on activities organized under IRENA’s Long-term Energy Scenario Network – LTES Network which expanded the scope of the LTES Campaign.
The Forum will be held in the form of a one-day Webcast, with speakers and participants joining from all around the world. The 2019 LTES International Forum provided a platform for dynamic discussions with around 130 experts from over 35 countries.
