Description
|
Why and how is renewable energy (RE) relevant for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in humanitarian settings? This webinar will explore the interlinkage between reliable energy supply and continuous water supply in refugee settings. Oxfam will provide an overview on solar powered water pumping followed by a case study from ICRC, exploring lessons learned and relevant business and implementation models for powering WASH with RE. ReNewGies will then present existing rapid feasibility assessment tools. This webinar will also briefly discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the provision and sustainability of WASH services.
