We are a start-up company that uses innovative digital technologies to drive forward sustainable energy access in some of the most remote parts of the world. With headquarters in Amsterdam, we run an online monitoring and management platform for solar powered off-grid energy systems. Our solution makes these systems smart, it makes them easier and cheaper to run, and makes sure the power stays on day and night.
Currently we are scaling up our presence in key markets in Sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia, and therefore looking for a dedicated team member to lead our sales team.

We are looking for a dedicated head of business development to be responsible for selling our company’s solutions and services to customers across the world, responsible for generating and qualifying sales leads, determining customer needs, and closing sales.
The head of business development will work closely with the management team and customer service team to ensure proper support and alignment – and most importantly to provide our customers with an exceptional experience.
You will be responsible for: Developing the sales strategy further. Identify and generate new sales opportunities, understanding key decision makers and determining the appropriate approach for each potential customer. Attend conferences and events to promote our company and generate new leads. Leverage personal network to identify, approach and acquire new business opportunities. Work closely with the AMMP team to create solutions based on our customers’ needs, including appropriate pricing strategy, product strategy, and future customer growth potential
Qualifications: We are looking for a person that has experience with B2B SaaS sales, ideally also with a network in the off-grid/renewable energy market, and a passion for global development.
Must have: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience. Minimum four years of experience, preferably with SaaS sales. High level of self-management and drive. Great communication skills. Experience in working internationally. Fluency in English – Ability to speak French is a plus. Willingness to travel as needed – estimated 50% of time
Nice to have: Network within the energy sector, preferably mini-grid/off-grid. Technical understanding of renewable energy system (e.g. PV, inverters, battery storage etc.).
