The Masters of Sustainable Energy (MASE) is a 21-month online degree for US and international students who would like more education and research training, beyond their undergraduate or graduate study, in the areas of energy, sustainability, and policy. The degree will have a distinct focus in a concentrated area and will provide experienced and aspiring practitioners in the field of sustainable energy the advance skills and knowledge needed to lead in the global community.
The ERE Program is recruiting an adjunct faculty member to design and teach the Economics of Sustainable Energy course for this online degree. As the degree is fully online, MASE faculty may reside anywhere in the world. Design production will start summer 2020.
Adjunct faculty appointments are renewed annually subject to approval by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs, and the Director/Administrative Director of the relevant program and are based on student demand, faculty evaluations and performance, and value of the course to the Johns Hopkins SAIS on-line curriculum.
Applicants are required to submit a C.V. and a cover letter. Those with teaching evaluations are encouraged to submit those as well.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Questions about the position can be sent to the Energy, Resources and Environment Program at email@example.com or the Office of Faculty Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org. Due to the anticipated amount of applicants and a limit on number of courses that Johns Hopkins SAIS can offer in an academic year, not all qualified applicants will be accepted or contacted.
