The book "Climate Change in the Tropics: Understanding and Addressing the Impacts of Climate Change to Tropical Regions" will compile cutting-edge research, case studies, and policy analyses to advance understanding of how climate change is and will impact tropical regions, and the means to address these impacts.
We invite contributions from scholars across disciplines, including but not limited to climatology, environmental science, epidemiology, urban studies, engineering, economics, and political science. Potential topics include:
- The impacts of changing temperature on tropical ecosystems
- Extreme events in tropical regions
- Health impacts of climate change to tropical zones
- Indigenous and traditional knowledge in increased climate resilience
- How climate change drives migration in tropical areas
- The fate of tropical marine and coastal ecosystems
- The disproportionate burden on the poor, women, indigenous communities, and other vulnerable groups
- Water and food security in the context of climate Change

Submission Guidelines
Interested authors should submit an abstract of 300 words with the full names and contact details of the authors to: info@iccip.net. The abstracts should outline their proposed chapter, including key arguments, methodology, and relevance to the book’s themes.
Abstracts should be sent to info@iccip.net by 30th October 2025. Selected authors will be notified and invited to submit full chapters of 6,000–8,000 words by 30th January 2026. All submissions will undergo peer review.
The book "Climate Change in the Tropics: Understanding and Addressing the Impacts of Climate Change to Tropical Regions" will be published by Springer Nature as part of the Climate Change Management Series https://link.springer.com/series/8740. With over 60 books produced to date, this is the world´s leading peer-reviewed book series on matters related to climate Change, offering contributors the opportunity to shape a vital resource for climate adaptation.
