As a joint learning product developed by EEX, Carbon Initiative for Development (Ci-Dev), and the Mind, Behavior and Development team (eMBeD in POV), this e-course "The Hidden Side of Energy Access 2.o: Deep Dive on Behavioral Science Applied to Clean Cooking" aims to deepen key learnings from the introductory Clean Cooking course "The Hidden Side of Energy Access: Understanding Clean Cooking" by applying the lens of behavioral science to address barriers and develop innovative solutions in the clean cooking sector. Specifically, this e-course highlights how behavioral, social, and psychological factors can affect access to and adoption of clean cooking and takes the learner through simple frameworks to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions that complement traditional policies.
Throughout the course, best practices for conducting behavioral diagnostics and rigorously testing solutions will be introduced. Participants will engage in various interactive excercises, case studies, and quizzes to understand and apply key concepts.
