|| You work in Wind: Participate in the Global Gender Survey of the Wind Industry!
|| Global Wind Energy Council and the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition
|| Only 32% of the global renewables workforce is composed of women, and only 7% of the sector’s leadership positions are held by women. Facing the tremendous challenge ahead to achieve a 1.5-degree pathway, we need to maximise our available human resources and capacity for innovation. This will require greater international collaboration and support across our sector for a gender-equitable energy transition.
The Women in Wind Global Leadership Program, co-organized by the Global Wind Energy Council and the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition, has partnered with IRENA to conduct a Global Gender Survey of the Wind Industry. This survey will be the first of its kind providing data-driven insights on the roles and representation of women in the global wind sector.
If you are working in the wind industry, we need your input to create the most accurate and reliable data possible to help us create better policies that encourage greater gender diversity.
The survey is available in English, Chinese and Spanish, and is open to all organizations and individuals (including women and men) working in wind energy. It requires 15-20 minutes to complete and answers remain anonymous. Kindly fill out the survey by Friday 15 November 2019.
