Report

The Stocktaking & Analysis Report captures the findings of the study’s first step. It is based on literature review, desk research and four country case studies in Chile, India, Kenya and Morocco executed in the period between December 2014 and February 2015.
On the basis of the initial stocktaking and analysis study manual and planning tools for the promotion of SPIS have been developed. The manual and the related tools are to address the needs of development practitioners – notably extension staff and advisers promoting and planning SPIS in developing countries and key staff of financing institutions or financial service providers. The handbook and tools shall be tested once they are prepared in different pilot countries and the findings/experiences gained during the field tests shall then be integrated in the final version of the handbook and tools, which will be then available on Energypedia.
