Mexico's energy situation is dominated for fossil fuels, for example regarding Oil Mexico is ranked as the 7[6] biggest producers in the World.
This can be reflected in the energy mix:
In 2009 the total primary energy produced was 9852.9 PJ,where more than 90% of this energy was from fossil fuels.
