East Africa Renewable Energy Associations met in Kigali on 26.5.2018 lauched East Africa Renewable Energy Federation (EAREF). EAREF was found in order to scale up the access to the renewable energy technologies within the region of East Africa. The founding associations were Burundi Renewable Energy Association (BUREA), Kenya Renewable Energy Association (KEREA), Rwanda Energy Private Developers (EPD), Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA) and Uganda Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Alliance (UNREEEA).
