Abstract
Is it time to look again at clustering the various multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs)?

Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future recently released a report, “UN80: Reform of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements”. It includes sections on the climate and biodiversity-related treaties, scientific advisory panels, and the Global Ministerial Environment Forum, as well as lessons learned clustering three major chemicals-related conventions a decade ago. The report was edited by Prof. Felix Dodds and Chris Spence, and includes an introduction by former UNEP Executive Director, Liz Dowdeswell.

With the UN80 Initiative likely to lead to major reforms across the UN, the authors hope this report will lead to further exploration of how MEAs can be made even more effective and impactful.
