Kenya Climate Change Working Group
- Kenya Climate Change Working Group was founded in 2009 and is based in Kenya .
- Type of organisation: Association/Network
The Kenya Climate Change Working Group is a national network of civil society organisations uniting voices and action on Climate Change with the aim of creating synergies in response to Climate Change. The network is composed of over 300 agencies working on Climate Change and drawn from local, national and international CSOs, research institutes and universities, private sector, the media and other stakeholders. - KCCWG mandate is to empower and represent CSOs in collaborative advocacy action
Projects -Enhancing the Role of Civil Society in Climate Change Adaptation in Kenya- The project contributes towards providing an enabling environment for the mainstreaming of climate adaptation in the country. -Green and Inclusive energy- the project advocates for green and inclusive energy advocacy, climate change mitigation through policy advocacy and stakeholders’ sensitization on alternative livelihoods, as well as advancing consumer rights
- Climate Change Advocacy In Kenya-Project Goal: A people free from the vulnerabilities of climate change and empowered enough to engage in their livelihoods improvement.- Communities and social institutions (including schools and health centers)
