Deletion Policy
Energypedia.info is a wiki based platform for collaborative knowledge exchange on renewable energy and energy access in developing countries.
As a non-profit company, it is crucial that the content of energypedia.info remains neutral and independent. Therefore, we do not accept any sponsoring or advertisement within our articles. (If you want to place ads on energypedia, please refer to Advertisements on energypedia.) Naturally we also do not accept any inhuman or insulting activities on the platform.
Please understand that we have to delete articles with the following content:
- Advertisement of products or companies (because the information on energypedia.info should remain independent and neutral)
- Mention of service providers, websites, product names and the like are not acceptable unless factualy related to the topic. Please also see our terms of use.
Normal energypedia users cannot delete articles. Only administrators have the right to delete articles as well as restore articles that were previously deleted.
However, there are two ways in which users can initiate the deletion of an article:
- Email the energypedia team: Especially in urgent and important cases (i.e. copyright violations or defamation), please send us an email immediately containing a link to the article and the reason for its deletion. We will respond to your suggestion as soon as possible.
- Categorize the article as "Deletion Proposed": If you think an article is eligible for deletion, you can also categorize it with the category "Deletion Proposed". We will regularly revise all articles in this category and delete those fitting our deletion policy.
