Research and Development Engineer

Aprovecho is situated on a beautiful campus in the coastal forests of rural Cottage Grove, Oregon. We have a long history of practice in sustainability, organic gardening, permaculture, and appropriate technology. This position is in-person only and may require some local and international travel.
Job Title: Research and Development Engineer
Appointment: Full-Time
Target Start Date (negotiable): 11/15/2022
Full consideration Date: 10/1/2022
Duties:
- Executing experiments and maintaining/calibrating equipment
- Fabrication of prototypes
- Data analysis
- Potential travel locally and globally for field testing
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or closely related field
- Demonstrated commitment to engineering for social good
- Fabrication experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory setting
- Experience with metal fabrication
