Policy advice is aimed at supporting partners and other stakeholders in their efforts to promote energy efficient lighting. At partners’ request, this can imply for instance support in formulation of strategies, policies, regulations and building of national capacities.

As the EU is actively promoting energy efficient lighting via its regulations to lighting and disposal, and the phasing-out of the incandescent bulb, such regulations can be considered as examples. In addition, they might be applied for national planning in future pre-accession countries to the EU.
