Eligibility/Description
You’ve built up your last mile distribution operations to provide critical products and services for those who need them most. However, working in the last mile means field teams are often faced with challenges getting reliable and up-to-date information on products and suppliers, maintaining efficient stock levels, and coordinating while offline in rural areas. Additionally, Covid-19 has put a financial strain on last-mile distributors and highlighted weaknesses in existing supply chains, making a difficult job even harder.

TaroWorks is an offline mobile field service app with a mission to improve product and service delivery to the poor by bringing real-time data to any organization, anywhere. In partnership with Qualcomm through its Qualcomm® Wireless Reach™ initiative, we will award a last mile technology grant of $20,000 to a nonprofit to help cover the cost of implementing the TaroWorks Suite*, a mobile field service app on Salesforce.com, designed to help distribution companies working in offline areas manage their distribution operations.

TaroWorks, whose mobile app helps last mile distributors manage and gain greater visibility into sales, inventory and product maintenance offline, will award the $20,000 last mile technology grant to a qualified NGO, humanitarian and social service organization or another nonprofit to contribute to the cost of configuring and deploying TaroWorks Enterprise. TaroWorks is accepting applications for the grant subsidy program until July 8, 2022

Eligibility Criteria

TaroWorks will evaluate applications based on business need, potential for long-term success with the system, estimated long-term impact, and financial need. To be eligible for the award, applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Funds must be used toward a TaroWorks Enterprise Suite implementation.
  • Organizations at a growth stage with plans to digitize existing processes. Organizations should demonstrate a clear strategy and process requirements for last mile distribution operations.
  • Have a technical resource that will own the system.
  • Currently, our support is only available in English, so we can only consider working with English-speaking system administrators.
  • TaroWorks is integrated with [1], so grant applicants must be current or planned Salesforce users in order to be eligible for consideration.
  • Able to pay for relevant annual TaroWorks and Salesforce licenses. The grant recipient will be responsible for the cost of Salesforce and TaroWorks user licenses but nonprofits may be eligible for donated Salesforce licenses with the Salesforce.org Power of Us program (see their page on eligibility).
