To create awareness about the benefits of post harvest management of perishable food and use of PV operated cold storage system and thus, create demand for it amongst smallholder farmers in Nigeria. The Smallholder Foundation developed and disseminated a 12 module educational comic and training material which address farmers and farmer groups, by informing them about good post-harvest practices in general, including sorting, packing and storing methods. The approach increased the demand for the PV cold storage - ColdHub system amongst farmers.
