CCA is looking to hire a consultant to support the GN&P team in the development and implementation of these key partnership strategies. The project is anticipated for a duration of six months, and all work will be done in close collaboration and oversight from CCA’s Chief of Staff and External Affairs. Specifically, the consultant will support CCA to develop and implement a youth engagement strategy, identify opportunities to strengthen CCA’s humanitarian partnership activities, and support ongoing work in the gender and nature partnership areas. This will include conducting research to develop engagement strategies, narratives, and content for across these partnership areas.
The consultant will be responsible for developing the following Deliverables:
- Deliverable 1: Develop a youth engagement strategy narrative and implementation plan. This includes creating and maintaining a partnership directory detailing relevant thought leaders, organizations and opportunities, identified through desk research and stakeholder engagement.
- Deliverable 2: Undertake an opportunity assessment to identify areas and key activities where CCA can add value to the humanitarian energy agenda.
- Deliverable 3: Create and refine presentations and other materials, in support of CCA’s gender, climate and food-systems partnerships.
Skills Required
- Entrepreneurial approach: ability to build something new in a complex system, learn by doing, and think beyond the bounds of what is presently considered possible
- At least 1 year of professional experience in research, policy or advocacy focused on climate, environment and/or development issues.
- Familiarity and/or interest in clean cooking projects and enterprises will be strongly considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to leverage current, and develop new, networks to build relationships and amplify access and impact.
- Effective and active in stakeholder engagement and external representation.
- Ability to plan and participate in virtual meetings that align with EST working hours.

Duration
The position is expected to be on a full-time basis, lasting six months, starting as soon as possible.
