Your tasks are:
- Development of sectoral greenhouse gas inventories, especially for emissions from buildings and transport. - Development and refinement of projection models and their application to new sectors. - Creating dashboards, visualisations and other tools to help policymakers and clients make better strategic decisions - Setting up and optimising cloud-based applications - Analysing data and tapping into new data sources - Development of user-friendly tools for reporting on mitigation projects under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and project-based monitoring - Project conception and acquisition - Implementation of trainings for the use of the developed applications
Your qualifications:
- A degree in the STEM field or comparable knowledge acquired by other means - Several years of practical experience in the field of data science - Very good knowledge of a programming language from the data science environment, e.g. Python, as well as very good SQL knowledge - Experience in working with MS Access databases - Good knowledge of regression modelling and machine learning algorithms, ideally also with application in the environment of current cloud hyperscaler (GoogleCloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure or IBM) - Strong customer orientation - Interest in international cooperation and climate protection - Experience in the consulting industry, scientific institutions, think tanks and other civil society actors is an advantage; - Willingness to travel within and outside Germany - Strong conceptual and analytical skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Business fluent in German and English; another foreign language (especially Spanish or French) is an advantage
