Eligibility/Description
The MECS ‘Cooking Support on Mini-Grids’ (MECS-COSMO) challenge fund is seeking applications to fund projects with mini-grid developers (and their partners) to enable electric cooking appliances to be sustainably used in homes or businesses. The competition is run in 2 phases: phase 1 is worth up to £50,000 and is focussed on developing the business plan. Phase 2 is focussed on implementing the business plan and is worth up to £150,000. Progression between phase 1 and 2 will be competitive and dependent on overall success of the previous phase. Multiple projects will be funded. Deadline for applications is 9th November 2022.
