Eligibility/Description
The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Mozambique Energy For All (ProEnergia-Plus), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract1 for Supply and Distribution of Solar-powered lights.


The Fundo de Energia (FUNAE-FP) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Distribution of 150,000 solar energy products. The tender comprises following phases for evaluation:


Phase 1: Supply of 150,000 Solar Energy Products comprising the following items:


Item 1 – Supply of 100,000 kits of Solar Powered Light with Mobile Device Charging Capacity;


Item 2 – Supply of 50,000 kits of Solar Powered Lighting Kit with three Lights and Mobile Device Charging Capacity


Phase 2: Coordination and Management of Distribution of the Solar energy products to IDPs and Host Communities in Cabo Delgado Province.


Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, dated November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.


Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from FUNAE, per Email procurementproenergia@gmail.com, copy to: filipemondlane@gmail.com and procurementproenergia@funae.co.mz and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 7:30h to 15:30h local time, from Monday to Friday, at the address below.


The bidding document in English may be requested free of charge by interested Bidders trough the following email: procurementproenergia@gmail.com, copy to: filipemondlane@gmail.com and procurementproenergia@funae.co.mz Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10.30 a.m., Local time on 06 of March 2023. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 06 of March 2023 at 10h30 a.m., Local time.


All Bids must be accompanied by a "Bid-Security" of USD 75,000 (seventy-five thousand American Dollars).
