Description
In this session, we will explore opportunities for civil society engagement on loss and damage finance, and focus on these issues from climate-affected communities' perspectives. In addition, this session aims to inform the VCA network of opportunities to influence the loss and damage finance processes and kick-start the VCA engagement on L&D.

Experts on loss and damage engaged in the UNFCCC processes; affected community representatives; the global programme; and the VCA regional teams will be brought in to deliberate on the opportunities for influencing the UNFCCC process and develop VCA's position on loss and damage.

The information session is the first activity of the Global programme on loss and damage finance, and other activities will follow it to ensure the voice of climate-affected communities shape the loss and damage finance.
