Description
Session 2 “Energising gender equality in the energy transition era” is taking place on Monday 10 June from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM CEST. This session will highlight the gender dynamics in the context of the energy sector's transformation, by dissecting the present landscape and paving the way for a more inclusive energy transition. It will unpack strategies to develop gender-responsive energy policies, ensuring that women are not only bearing the costs of the transition, but are active contributors and beneficiaries of the energy transition. The discussion will further touch upon the economic opportunities and main challenges of women workers participating in the green energy sector.

The OECD Forum on Gender Equality brings together representatives from OECD member and non-member countries, including high-level officials, regulators, experts, academics, research institutions, the private sector and philanthropy, social partners, civil society, and international organisations to discuss gender issues at the intersections of green, energy, and digital transitions. See our lineup of speakers here.

Discussions will focus on how collectively we can strengthen gender mainstreaming across policy areas in support of inclusive transitions and equitable future.

Please share this invitation widely across your networks! We look forward to welcoming you to the OECD.
