Job description
CAN International is seeking a Project Manager to support CAN’s work on Just Transition, supporting the execution and development of selected CAN I programmes and projects. This includes the oversight and execution of two projects aimed at ensuring key stakeholders and social partners in coal regions in developing countries plan for and implement just energy transition pathways away from coal and towards a low-carbon energy system. The projects are aimed at:

Supporting the exchange between civil society actors active in coal regions in the Global South via an international network, policy dialogue and a knowledge hub, strengthening the capacities of key stakeholders in the participating coal regions to plan and implement localized just energy transition pathways away from coal and towards a low carbon energy system.

Providing support towards affected civil society organisations and communities in East Kalimantan and South Sumatra, by supporting: capacity building and awareness raising efforts on JET, the establishment of meaningful stakeholder consultation processes, the identification of transformational measures to support localised JETs.
