Knowledge fuels change - Support energypedia!
For over 10 years, energypedia has been connecting energy experts around the world — helping them share knowledge, learn from each other, and accelerate the global energy transition.
Today, we ask for your support to keep this platform free and accessible to all. Even a small contribution makes a big difference! If just 10–20% of our 60,000+ monthly visitors donated the equivalent of a cup of coffee — €5 — Energypedia would be fully funded for a whole year.
Is the knowledge you’ve gained through Energypedia this year worth €5 or more?
Your donation keeps the platform running, helps us create new knowledge products, and contributes directly to achieving SDG 7.

Description
Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) – ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all – is essential to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. However, progress toward SDG7 targets remains insufficient, with challenges such as energy poverty, rising demand, and the need for rapid decarbonization persisting worldwide. The urgency of addressing the energy-climate-development nexus has never been greater. The UN General Assembly’s decision in 2024 to extend the Decade of Sustainable Energy for All until 2030 reinforces the global imperative to intensify efforts for energy action.

The SDG7 Action Forum will serve as a vital platform to review progress, sustain momentum, and drive ambitious action. Held in the lead-up to the third review of SDG7 at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2026, the Forum will also contribute meaningful insights for COP30 and to the SDG Summit 2027, shaping the direction of sustainable development beyond 2030. By fostering collaboration and advancing innovative solutions, the Forum will play a pivotal role in addressing the world’s energy challenges and achieving just and inclusive energy transitions.

The SDG7 Action Forum will take place on 24-25 September 2025 - In-Person - at 211 East 46th St, New York
