Knowledge fuels change - Support energypedia!
For over 10 years, energypedia has been connecting energy experts around the world — helping them share knowledge, learn from each other, and accelerate the global energy transition.
Today, we ask for your support to keep this platform free and accessible to all.
Even a small contribution makes a big difference! If just 10–20% of our 60,000+ monthly visitors donated the equivalent of a cup of coffee — €5 — Energypedia would be fully funded for a whole year.
Is the knowledge you’ve gained through Energypedia this year worth €5 or more?
Your donation keeps the platform running, helps us create new knowledge products, and contributes directly to achieving SDG 7.
Thank you for your support, your donation, big or small, truly matters!

Organised by the World PhD Students Climate Change Network https://www.haw-hamburg.de/en/ftz-nk/about-us/networks/world-phd-students-climate-change-network/ of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the International Climate Change Information and Research Programme (ICCIRP) https://www.haw-hamburg.de/en/ftz-nk/programmes-and-networks/iccirp/, the European Academic Network for Capacity Development in Climate Change Adaptations in Africa (NetCDA) http://netcda.org/, the NFRF and DFG funded project "Shared Gardens for Climate Change Adaptation (Jardins adaptés au climat)" https://www.umoncton.ca/jardins-climat/en, and the Interdisciplinary Expert Centre on Climate Change and Health (IECCCH) https://www.haw-hamburg.de/en/ftz-nk/ieccch/.
Rationale
This symposium recognises the vital role PhD students play in working on matters related to climate change, fostering innovation and addressing global challenges.
However, despite the synergies among research topics in climate change, many PhD candidates often work in isolation with limited opportunities for interaction and exchange. To bridge this gap, we are organising the fourth edition of the World PhD Symposium in 2025, which will feature a programme with presentations from PhD students conducting their research across the globe.
Aims of the event
The aims of the Symposium 2025 are:
- to provide PhD candidates from around the world with an opportunity to display and present their works as they relate to climate change mitigation and adaptation;
- to foster the exchange of information, ideas and experiences;
- to network with international participants and provide an interative platform to explore possibilities for further cooperation.
How to participate
Participation in the event is free of any charges and is open to a broad audience from various disciplines.
In order to present your work at the World PhD Students Symposium 2025, please register by 30th October 2025.
