Description
As the world met in Belém, Brazil, for the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the UNFCCC, global attention focused once again on progress in climate action, ambition and implementation. COP30 marked an important moment for accelerating efforts to meet the Paris Agreement goals, as countries submitted the third round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and negotiated key issues including adaptation, climate finance and just transitions. In this annual online dialogue, leading experts and policymakers will come together to reflect on the key outcomes and implications of COP30. What advances were made in global climate negotiations? Where do major challenges remain? And how do the results of COP30 shape future action for governments, civil society, businesses and research communities?
