Abstract The purpose of the project is to increase the level of technical information about the potential for a successful geothermal power station to be constructed in the future and to prepare necessary documentation to enable this.

The document includes an example of economic and financial analysis:

  • The economic value of the project was assessed by calculating the expected reduction in the net present value of the costs of the electricity generation expansion plan that would be made possible by the inclusion of a 50 MW geothermal power station following a successful drilling program;
  • The scope of the financial analysis includes both the exploration phase and the full scale development phases to assess the conditions under which the geothermal resource is commercially viable.
