Description
In their sixth event under the PWCET series, the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) and Green People’s Energy (GBE) are organising a discussion with various stakeholders on "Carbon Financing in the Decentralised Renewable Energy Sector" on 24 August 2022 at 14:00 - 15:30 CEST.

Securing adequate finance for the decentralised renewable energy (DRE) sector remains as essential as ever and additional sources of capital are urgently needed. Innovative financial mechanisms such as ‘Carbon Finance’, encompassing market-based approaches to incentivise emissions reductions and encourage green investments, can help bridge the funding gap.

Join us to hear from experts and companies who have tapped into carbon finance to raise capital for their DRE projects. The interventions will be followed by a moderated panel discussion including interaction with the audience.
