Energy situation

Fossil fuels dominates Mexico's energy situation, regarding Oil Mexico is ranked as the 7[6] biggest producers in the World and this is reflected in the energy mix:
In 2009 from the 9852.9 PJ (primary energy) produced more than 90% of this came from fossil fuels.

The electricity generation is also dominated for fossil fuels, 71% of the Electricity comes from Thermal Power plants, most of them in Combined Cycle .
