Programme Officer, Bioenergy P-3
Under the supervision of the Senior Programme Officer in the Remap team, the Programme Officer will: - Lead development and implementation of bioenergy projects. - Conduct assessments of bioenergy resource potential in different countries and regions. - Evaluate the economic merits, market potential and resource basis of different bioenergy technologies, including technologies for cooking, heating and cooling of buildings, industrial process heat, power and transport fuel. - Process and write information collected in the course of assisting countries upon request to develop bioenergy scale up strategies. - Organise workshops; liaise with external experts and organizations; and coordinate of peer review of bioenergy studies. - Prepare reports and brochures for publication, prepare the communication plan and ensure such are disseminated through relevant outlets including social media. - Assist in mobilising and managing Voluntary Contributions. - Prepare summaries, information sheets, and PowerPoint presentations, and interact with relevant stakeholders as required.
