Objective (DC Program): The modernization of the renewable energy sector contributes to sustainable economic development, improving the quality of life of the population and achieving Kenya's climate targets.

NDC Assist II - Contributing to the NDC Partnership (NDC Assist)

OBJECTIVE: Assist partners from developing countries in successfully implementing their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in the context of the 2030 Agenda.
2020 - 2023

  • Coordination Mechanisms - Support enhanced coordination mechanisms, development of NDC roadmaps within sectors.
  • Regulations and Policy - Assist Kenya to incorporate NDCs in national regulations and policies, drafting development and investment plans or developing incentive schemes and investment projects.
  • Monitoring - facilitate NDC reviews, Long-term strategy development, modelling and prioritization of further NDC actions
  • Regional Exchange - Support regional consultations and peer-to-peer exchanges on NDC implementation.
