Project description

Solar-powered irrigation systems (SPIS) have been recognized as a powerful instrument to increase yields while mitigating emissions. In collaboration with FAO, GIZ has been mainstreaming SPIS by publishing reports and studies, organizing advocacy events, and developing a web based Toolbox on SPIS, available in Spanish, French and English. The Toolbox supports decision-makers and advisors in planning, designing and maintaining a solar pump in a farming system.
