Laura Clarke is the project manager for the Renewable Energy for Refugees (RE4R) project, one of Practical Action’s largest multi-country projects. She has over 17 years’ experience in technical leadership, project management and delivery roles, both in the UK and on global assignments. She has experience of managing and coordinating large, multi-discipline teams in demanding environments and before joining Practical Action, worked for 5 years as a Senior Project Engineer delivering large energy and infrastructure projects in the oil and gas sector. Previously she served 11 years in the British Army with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) completing operational deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. She has an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University and is a chartered engineer.
